Halloween

Quentin was so excited for Halloween this year.  He loves lollipops and knows he only gets them for haircuts and holidays.  He said he was excited to wear his dragon costume, but I wasn't sure how he would feel once there were other people and strangers around.  He was braver than I expected and had so much fun.  But he did refuse to go up to any doors with decorative cobwebs, because he hates spiders.

Spontaneity

Last Sunday we enjoyed a spontaneous trip to the pumpkin patch at Irvine Park.  Now that Q is getting older, we can enjoy some spontaneity.  We went with Dan, Michelle, Lilly and Michelle's  sister Penny and had so much fun!!  Q actually got on the tractor pulled hay ride, but he did tell me, "Mommy, this guy needs to slow down!".  The second photo was when we took Q and Lilly to the pumpkin patch last year......they've both grown up so much!!

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Q and I stopped by the pumpkin patch near our house.  I was trying to take pictures when he told me, "Mommy, that's enough pictures."  Way different from the kid the kid that we took to the pumpkin patch last year that would happily say "cheese" when I asked.  He wasn't too interested in picking out a pumpkin, he just wanted to drive the little tractor and was super excited about the stamp he got when we paid for him to drive the tractor.

The Real Q

Quentin is so shy, not everyone gets to see the real Quentin.  Q is usually so serious and reserved, I'm sure most people would think he doesn't have much of a sense of humor.  He's happiest when he's surrounded by friends and family.  I wish everyone could experience the real Q, he's so much fun!  He's a little old man, but still so hilarious and silly at the same time.

Preschool

This was a big week for Quentin, he turned 3 1/2 on Tuesday and started preschool on Thursday.  Preschool went well.  He was very nervous the night before and hardly slept.  B and I reassured him that we would stay with him for his first day.  Just as we thought, he was shy and timid, but he did end up venturing off more than we expected.  How did we get here so fast?  The first photo was the day we brought him home.  How is it in 3 1/2 short years he's turned into the little old man in the next few photos?  The last photo is Q leaving for his first day of preschool.

Hobbying

Quentin helps me with most of my sewing projects.  And yesterday, Q did some hobbying with daddy in the garage, where daddy does all of his hobbying (working on his RC cars).  B helped Q paint his first model car.  I'm not only proud of the finished product, but also that Q didn't spill a drop of paint.

School Clothes

Quentin starts school at the end of the month, so we went shopping for school clothes.  Still no luck buying him pants though.  He needs a 3T or 4T for the right length, but he barely fits a 2T in the waist.  So we just bought shorts and shoes.....and just like his daddy, he LOVES new shoes.
